The next level up. For students who already play their instrument with some confidence and want to experience what it feels like to lock in with a professional rhythm section. Lonnie and Ragn lead students through tighter arrangements, dynamics, song structure, improvised sections, and the subtler craft of ensemble playing — listening, leaving space, playing for the song. Drawing from jazz, pop, rock, blues, and funk, expect to stretch across styles. By the end of the week, the band will have a short set ready to perform.

Ages 14+. Basic understanding of music notation is an asset but not required. Guitarists and pianists should be comfortable with basic chord structures (major/minor, 7ths, inversions for piano, power chords and beyond for guitar). Singers should be comfortable and confident performing in front of others; experience behind a microphone is an asset. Bring your own instrument (amps provided for guitar/bass/keys).
