Ever wondered how the beats in your favourite songs are made? In this brand-new class, Jon will introduce kids to the world of electronic music making — loops, beats, samples, effects pedals, and synth sounds — in a hands-on, play-first environment. Students will experiment with making their own short tracks using accessible software and apps, and learn the basics of how rhythm, melody, and sound design come together. A perfect on-ramp for kids who love listening to music and are curious about how it actually gets made. By the end of the week each student will have a little track of their own to take home.  

No experience required. No instrument required.
Equipment provided (students welcome to bring headphones if they have them!).
