Ever wanted to play in a band? Here's your shot. Lonnie Powell (drums) and Ragn Royle (bass) anchor this class as the professional core, while students on guitar, keys, vocals, and other instruments get the experience of playing with a real pocket under them. No prior band experience needed; we'll start with simple song forms, learn how to count in, how to end together, how to listen across the stage, and how to actually play with other people rather than at them. By Friday, the band will have a handful of tunes they can perform together.

Ages 12+. Beginner level on your instrument (you should be able to play a few basic chords, a simple bassline, or carry a tune). Vocal mics and one guitar/keyboard/synth/bass provided. Feel free to bring your own instrument (amps provided for guitar/bass/keys).
